Hi, I am a photographer from Bogotá, Colombia. Documenting the streets always felt like a safe place for me, street photography has helped me to heal in an emotional way. Also, I’ve been interested in culture in public spaces and in the fragility and harshness of humans in our day by day life. As a graphic designer semiotics and aesthetics are issues that I’m trying to emphasise in my projects.

'Alive' a comeback journey is a result of an emotional process that recovers the feeling of being alive. After going through a difficult situation in my personal life and trying to find a way out, going out to take pictures on the streets for the last five years showed me a way to start healing. Being fully present, meeting a unique character full of life or capturing an un-repeatable moment became an essential part of my process. Also, I found in the other a part of myself that helped me on the path of self-knowledge.
This initial part of the project includes 20 images of different moments and characters, as a graphic designer the use of color was important to visually reinforce the concept. In the future these series of photographs will be part of my first photo book.
I must mention that I found inspiration in classic street photography and its great referents: Joel Meyerowitz, Vivian Maier, William Eggleston, Garry Winogrand and others.
