“Ferry tale” is an exploration of Japanese ferries, a common mode of public transportation in the nation of nearly 7000 islands.
My obsession with American diners started in 2012 when I first moved to the US. Since then I drove thousands of miles from South Dakota to Louisiana, Pennsylvania to California with the desire to capture them all before they vanished. Maybe it is because it is an icon of America, from the opening of Pulp Fiction to When Harry met Sally, it is at the diner that magic happens. I can stay for hours, listening to the conversations of my table neighbors, and finally, capture a memory that will last. What would you take, a classic cheeseburger & a vanilla shake? This is my love letter to America.
