Jessica Cardelucci is an award-winning, self-taught photographer from California. Through her exploration of the West Coast and lifelong companionship with horses, her images encourage the viewer to experience the same intimate connection to her subjects that she felt when she took these images.
She lets her subjects catch her eye, finding unique perspectives amongst commonly documented themes. Using her monochrome, minimalist approach, Jessica creates some of the finest intimate black and white images. Her signature style is a testament to the artistic quality of her work.

Mustangs are protected under The Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971 but today in an effort to control the population the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is rounding horses off our public lands, taking away their freedom. These efforts come with much controversy in how to properly and humanely manage these cherished mustangs. Mustangs are living symbols of the American West and these images are a tribute to them
