Voodoo is an ancient religion that is very complex and has wide geographic reach. This belief is recognized as an official religion in West Africa; particularly in Togo, Benin and parts of Ghana and Nigeria. Voodoo is basically a set of spirits or deities each responsible for many different aspects of human life such as love, health and protection. It also includes the usage of fetishes (talismans or rituals that may include naturally deceased animals, objects and etc.) in which spirits and humans can communicate with each other. Also, Voodoo is not only a religious belief but also a way of life with its traditional medicine practices, songs and dances.
