Russia's Far East - eight time zones from Moscow at the eastern end on the Pacific Ocean lies the peninsula of Kamchatka. A volcano-dotted, bear-infested landscape isolated from the rest of Russia due to the absence of road or railroad connection. A remote place where nature rules and draws boundaries - an area where life and destruction clash.
My first collection is a visual journey from a trip to Kamchatka in September 2019. A mind-blowing 2 weeks expedition through the diverse wilderness. From lush green valleys with rivers full of salmon to volcanic wastelands with little to no life - Kamchatka really left an impression on me.
